Privacy Policy
Effective date: July 2026
BrowSpeed ("we", "us", "our") operates the free internet speed test available at https://speedtest.browlovers.com/. This policy explains what information is processed when you use the site, how it is used, and the choices you have. We have tried to keep it short and readable, because there is genuinely not much to disclose: the site is designed to work with as little of your data as possible.
Information we collect
- IP address (transient): when you run a speed test, our server necessarily receives your IP address in order to exchange test data with your browser and to display connection information (such as your approximate ISP or location) back to you. This processing is transient — it happens in memory for the duration of the test.
- Standard server logs: like virtually every website, our web server keeps standard access logs (IP address, timestamp, requested URL, browser user-agent). These logs are used only for security, abuse prevention, and keeping the service running, and are routinely rotated and deleted.
Information we do NOT collect
- We do not require or offer user accounts, so we hold no names, email addresses, or passwords.
- We do not store your speed test results. Once your test finishes and you leave the page, the result is gone from our side.
- We do not build profiles of visitors, and we do not sell, rent, or trade any data to anyone.
Cookies and advertising
BrowSpeed is a free service supported by advertising. We use Google AdSense to display ads. Google and its partners are third parties that may set and read cookies (or use similar technologies such as web beacons) in your browser to serve ads, measure ad performance, and, where permitted, personalize ads based on your visits to this and other websites.
- Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads based on your visit to this site and/or other sites on the internet.
- You can learn more about how Google uses data from partner sites at Google's policies page.
- You may opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings.
- You can also block or delete cookies at any time through your browser settings; the speed test itself works fine without them.
Analytics
We may use basic, privacy-respecting analytics to understand aggregate site usage — for example, how many people visit and which pages are popular. Analytics data is aggregated and is not used to identify individual visitors.
Children's privacy
BrowSpeed is a general-audience utility and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time, for example if we add features or if legal requirements change. When we do, we will update the effective date at the top of this page. Continued use of the site after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
