The service is provided "as is"

BrowSpeed is a free tool provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or non-infringement. We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or available at any given time.

Results are estimates

Speed test results are estimates of your connection's performance at the moment the test runs, measured between your browser and our servers. Actual and measured speeds can vary significantly due to factors outside our control, including:

• Wi-Fi signal strength, interference, and distance from your router
• Network congestion on your local network, your ISP's network, or the wider internet
• Limitations of your device, browser, or other software running at the same time
• VPNs, proxies, and security software

Results should not be treated as a definitive measurement of the speed your internet provider delivers, and we accept no responsibility for decisions made on the basis of test results.

Acceptable use

You agree to use the Service only for its intended purpose: personally testing your internet connection. You must not:

• Use bots, scripts, or other automated means to repeatedly hammer the test endpoints or generate artificial load
• Attempt to disrupt, overload, probe, or gain unauthorized access to the Service or its infrastructure
• Scrape, republish, or resell the Service or its test infrastructure as part of another product without our written permission
• Use the Service in any way that violates applicable law

We reserve the right to rate-limit, block, or otherwise restrict access from users or networks that abuse the Service.

Intellectual property

The BrowSpeed name, site design, text, and underlying code are the property of the site operator and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may link to the site freely, but you may not copy, modify, or redistribute the Service or its content, except as permitted by law or with prior written consent.
